Melanie Posner is a Los Angeles-based fine artist and muralist celebrated for her vibrant, photo-realistic portraiture that captures strength, spirit, and femininity. Originally from Pennsylvania, Melanie discovered art as a way to tap into a place of pure expression and resilience, a passion that deepened as she navigated challenging years in the juvenile system. Since earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Tampa, her work has been showcased in galleries, art exhibits, and murals across the United States. From gallery canvases to sprawling building walls, Melanie’s art transcends mediums, transforming public and private spaces with pieces that resonate deeply with diverse audiences. She has collaborated with leading brands and cultural icons, including Amazon Prime and TikTok, where she created a 40- foot mural on the side of the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Her largest LGBTQ+ mural, a landmark in St. Petersburg celebrates inclusivity and community, reflecting her commitment to representing underrepresented voices. Melanie’s art is about connection and inspiration. Her pieces often feature real people, embodying the shared stories and resilience of the community around her. Recognized in the Art in Public Spaces guide by St. Petersburg’s Arts, Culture & Tourism Board to painting prominent locations on Abbott Kinney Blvd, Melanie’s work continues to inspire and empower, inviting viewers to feel as alive as the subjects in her art.
